My washing machine doesn't spin the water out as effectively as it used to. Is it just wearing out? Is it rationally fixable for a Mom?

The cold water to my washer doesn't fill and shut off on it's own. Additionally, if I don't use my washer for a few days, it dribbles cold water into the basin. Plus, it doesn't fully spin the water out of the load.
Help please!
