 This has been three years in the making. I could go on and on about the reason this mess was started and you would feel for me but I feel sorry enough for myself. This vinue has helped me so much. Most everyone's advice is sound and true. Thank you in advance.
I filed chapter 13 three years ago. Some much as gone on to bring all this about but the question is... now they have dismissed the chapter 13 and have taken my vehicle. I'm not at all bitter but grateful that I've had a mode of transportation and have taken very good care of the car. Anyway, what happens to the rest of the debts?

Why did the Chapter 13 get dismiss?
If they have dismiss the 13, then the creditor will most likely take you to court to obtain judgment against you.
After that they will try to find your assets, garnish wages, garnish checking and saving accounts.
Did you make the payment for the Chapter 13?

Yes, I had been until my income changed Dramatically! My jobs became erratic and the rest is history. They took payments from my check when it was steady. I got a lay-off and at the age of ##, I have found it no easy task. I'm working presently for a temp agency and although rewarding, I barely get by. I am of course looking for permanent employment. Thank you for your answer. Do you have any ideas on what I should do?

Yes, you needed to try and change the 13 to a 7 if you knew you were not going to be able to make the payments BEFORE they dismissed the case.
If they dismissed it, where you can refile, you can still refile a chapter 7 to get rid of the debts it would cover.
But the attorney doing your bankruptcy should have been advising you on this, you need to talk to him ( or her)
