For nearly 4 years I have been suffering with a very sore vagina, it can be itchy and it swells up really bad. The pain is unbearable! It stops me sleeping and is ruining my life. I bleed all the time (lucky if I have 2 days off a month!) I've been with the same partner for 3 years, we rarely have sex because I'm always sore and when we do it gets sore too. I've been to the doctors LOADS I've had swabs done, cervical smears, blood tests, ultra sounds and everything has come back negative. No doctor can tell me what's wrong. I can't carry on like this it has totally taken over my life. Please can anyone help me?

If multiple doctors have seen you, examined you, taken swabs and ultra sounds (although I don't know what an ultra sound would disclose) I don't know how you can think we could tell you what's wrong from a description that only gives a hint of a sore vagina. We can't diagnose on AMHD for a lot of very obvious reasons. You have a condition that has given you discomfort for a long time.

What is your present medical condition, aside from a 'sore vagina', (specifically and anatomically whereabouts is the actual discomfort) and what type of meds are you on.

I am sorry but I find it hard to believe that multiple doctors with all of their attending expertise could not tell you what is wrong. Did one of them send you for allergy tests, and does your partner use latex condoms? Some people are allergic to latex is why I ask.

In writing this post I was hoping to maybe find someone who was going through something similar. I just wanted to know if anyone out there has or is going through this as well.
The ultra sounds were to have a look and see if anything in the womb looked abnormal. Which came back fine.
The only medication I take is my inhalers for my asthma (I've been using these since as young as 6), but I have discussed this with doctors and they should not cause problems like this.
I have not had an allergy test, no doctor has even suggested the idea. I don't use latex condoms either.
I honestly just wanted to know if anyone out there was going through the same thing, and what if anything was done about it.

Munchkin, what you got was healtchare professionals to answer, me being one of them. As for anyone going through the same thing, well, that may be a longshot to wait and see if anyone answers. I am glad we ruled out the latex allergy which can be really painful with longtime use of condoms.

I still think you should have allergy tests, from a professional standpoint.

Ok thanks, I'll ask my doctor to do one. Don't see why they haven't already :-/ 4 years is a long time and honestly don't feel like I've gotten any closer to getting to the bottom of this. Thanks again.
