I got my Yorkie in Nov of 2008. I have never mated her nor has she had any litters of pups, but I noticed she was starting to get bigger teets and now they are leaking a yellowish liquid which looks like she is lactating... why would she be doing this? Is it something to worry about and will she be able to have puppies when I do mate her? Thanks for your help with this matter!!

Is there any chance that she has gotten pregnant? Has she been around any males at all?
It could be a false pregnancy. The dogs body thinks it's pregnant and starts to experience all the symptoms, including producing milk.
You'll need to take her to a vet.
Can I ask why you're planning on breeding her? Are you a licensed breeder? Have you done or do you plan to do all the health testing before breeding her?
Having her fixed would prevent not only an unwanted pregnancy, but a false one as well.

Having her fixed would prevent not only an unwanted pregnancy, but a false one as well.
It would also prevent certain health risks such as certain cancers.

Very true. An altered dog is a lot healthier, happier, calmer, and will live longer.
So many people think that every dog should have a litter, that's just not true. A pregnancy puts a lot of stress on the dog. With such a small breed there's a huge chance that there will be complications when she gives birth. Most people don't plan for the worst and either end up losing not only their dog, but the pups as well, or they end up with a very large vet bill.
It's just better all around to let pets be pets, and leave the breeding to those that are qualified.
Getting the dog fixed is really the best thing to do.
