I have done 2 pregnancy tests (one clear blue and one first response) the both took 2 - 2.5 hours to read a result, the last time I had a period was christmas and both of the tests were negative, when I take the contraception pill I take it for 3 months at a time because of my job, anyone know why I still haven't come on my period, the last time I finished my contraception pill was before chrstmas? I still have the pains in my back like I am about to have my period. I have gained a little bit of weight bt I have put that down to moving house and working a lot. Can anybody please help me with any answers?

For the tests to be accurate, they need to be read in the time frame on the directions. Typically it's no more than 5 or 10 minutes. 2 - 2.5 hours is too long to get an accurate response.

Stress, weight loss/gain, change in diet and or exercise routine, as well as stopping contraception are all reasons us women tend to miss periods.

At this point in time, it might be best for you to make an appointment with an OB for a blood test.
