Couple of weeks ago my Goodman furnace went out. It happened to be a big snow storm here in Chicago. So I called my furnace repair co. that I usually use. They charged me $189.00 to come out to check my furnce turned it off turned the wheel of the inducer motor shook the wire that is attached to it a it started again. He then took the wire and added a new clamp / connectror and it was fine. He said it it happens again shake the wire! Well it happened again last night. At this point I am upsetA that he did not repair the wire permanetley. I need some assistance to find out what he should really have done and to get it fix properly. (He wrote on my paper. Code 3 pressure switch problem. Found inucer motor was not on because was loose wire on inducer motor gmpq75-3 980/629476 fine at this time, happen again replace inducer motor). Why would I replace the motor when it is a wire he could repair?? Please help.

We could all have different opinions as to what he did what he did. Shaking the wire is an unacceptable solution. The wire could be connected in an inaccessible part, factory wired. I'd call them back, tell them the issue, that you are not happy with the repair and that they can come shake the wire themselves or repair it properly and deduct the first service charge.

PS for $100, I'll shake the wire!! LOL
