My husband and I have been trying to have our second child. Every test I take comes back negative. I have been showing signs of pregnancy. My period is 2 weeks late and I started today. I have been having really bad cramps which I don't usually have. Is this something I should call my doctor about or is it normal to have bleeding early in pregnancy?

It doesn't sound like you're pregnant if you're having your period right now. Although cramping and bleeding can be a sign of a miscarriage, cramping and bleeding are also normal with just a regular period too.
As for calling your doctor, it's always better safe than sorry so it can never hurt to call. Does your doctor know you're trying to conceive? If not, it's always a good idea to keep your doctor in the loop anyway.

I agree with justcurious, sounds like you're not pregnant. You said you've had symptoms, but negative tests, and your period started today. PMS and pregnancy symptoms are almost exactly alike.
It sounds like you just had an off month. It happens, especially when you're trying to conceive. The stress of that can cause your period to be delayed.
It's always a good idea to check with your doctor if you're concerned. If you are trying to conceive it's important to talk to your doctor, start prenatal vitamins and folic acid.
Better luck next time. :)
