I had a question about losing weight after weaning. After having my baby I barely lost any weight. I attempted to diet as much as I could while I was breastfeeding but could not lose any weight. Finally I got fed up with trying and stopped watching what I ate. I continued to exercise but ate whatever I wanted. I didn't gain any weight by doing this but I obviously didn't lose any either. I stopped breastfeeding in late December because my baby was wanting to bottle feed instead of breastfeed. I have not changed my diet at all from when I was breastfeeding till now. But at the end of January I noticed that my clothes were fitting much looser so I decided to step on the scale. At that time I saw that I had lost a 5 pounds. Now I have been weighing myself once a week and since I weighed at the end of January I have lost another 19 pounds. I don't have any idea how this is happening. Like I said I have not changed my diet at all and have not started exercising anymore than usual.
Is this normal to loose weight this fast after weaning a baby. I just want to make sure that I shouldn't go see a doctor or anything. I am just worried because 19 pounds in 2 and a half weeks seems a little excessive to me. I just need to know if I should be worried or if I should just be happy about the weight loss.
Starting Weight 199 lbs
Current Weight 175
