My Puggle is almost a year old and is housebroken, recently my girlfriend and her son came over and my dog got up on the couch where she was sitting and peed right on her foot and all over my couch. Last night after takeing her outside she peed all over my bed and then thismorning after takeing her outside, she peed and pooped outside, she came in and pooped on the floor. Just need help wondering why all of the sudden she is bahaving this way?? She knows she does wronge because she will go into her crate. I am wondering if she upset about something or Jealous. She will not pee or poop in crate and she can hold it for hours at a time when we are not home. Please help!

The first thing to do is go to the vet to rule out anything medical. This could be a bladder infection, or something else.

Once she gets a clean bill of health we can give some advice on what may be going on, and how to fix it. :)

I think a "Puggle" is a mix between a poodle and a pug?

Chances are your dog is asserting dominance.Usually it is because of feelings of insecurity or a perceived threat. This perceived threat, for example, can be an introduction of a new baby, a new pet, a visitor or even a new piece of furniture. Is he neutered? He sees your girl friend and son as intruders in his home, and he is marking his territory. Most dogs will get over it eventually once they become accustomed to the new visitors. In the mean time, when you catch your dog doing it red pawed so to speak, say in a firm voice "NO". Immediately get up and take the dog out doors. Praise when he does his business out side. Clean the area very well with an enzyme cleaner. Water and vinegar works very well.



Ask you girlfriend to give the pup a few extra pets and kind words. Same with the son if he is of appropriate age.

I very much agree with Aurora, you little guy is letting you know who is boss and what his territory includes. Time for retraining and get help from a trainer or class. In the meantime every time she poops in the house scoop it up, place it outside and show it to her, at that point gve her some praise.
