I received a summons from a collection agency but when I checked my credit report the debt was listed as being included in my chapter 7 bankruptcy. I sent them a copy of my crdeit report. I claimed bankruptcy after my divorce... it was a very bad, chaotic time and when they origianlly contacted me I gave them money because I wasn't sure if the bill was included in the bankruptcy. They are angry now becaue they said "you didnt tell us that it was included when we first contacted you" Should they leave me alone now?

WHat does giving them a copy of your credit report do... they could get that ann already did most likely. What you need to do is provide a copy of the papers that discharges that specific debt in the bankruptcy to them. That is what they need to drop it. Simply ignoring it might complicate things further.
THey've probibly heard every excuse there is... but you have hard proof... so photocopy it and provide it to them.
Keep in mind not all bankrupcys now simply give you a pass on past debts as they once did. Make sure it was really discharged and not simply modified.
