Hi I have a male pitbull who is not fixed and he stopped eating. I also have a female cocker spaniel who is in heat. My pit will not leave her alone(if you know what I mean). He stopped eating shortly after she went into heat. My question is: could he not be eating because her is in heat and he's more intrested in that or is there a bigger problem. He is drinking and has energy. My pit wines and mopes around if he is not around her. Even barks! Please help getting worried it's been about 3 days now! Thanks! Dan

Dan, anytime an animal stops eating for 3 days it's time to see a vet to rule out anything medical. Better safe then sorry.

I have to ask. Why aren't your dogs fixed? It will not only prolong their lives, but it will prevent an unwanted pregnancy. There are great risks if your cocker gets pregnant with your pitbulls pups. The size difference alone could kill her during delivery.
