Hello I'm new here ;) . I'm having a little trouble with this question: Is a function always a relation? Is relation always a function? Please explain your reasoning.:D

From what I remember a function is always a relation but a relation is not always a function.

Go to the Math source:

function (http://www.nist.gov/dads/HTML/function.html)

Functions versus Relations (http://www.purplemath.com/modules/fcns.htm)

Function (mathematics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Function_(mathematics))

A Vertical line Test can easily Tell you if it is a function or not. :)

Great method assuming that the relation can be graphed easily.
