Hello. My question is I should be able to apply for the Amer. Opp Credit. However, I attended 2 colleges the same semester (one 4 credit class at one & one 3 credit class @ the other). So, my 1098's both are UNchecked where it says at least half time. Can I check it & still claim it since technically I was half time just between 2 colleges? Or do I have to forgo it & tax the regular credit? Thanks Jill

Under the criteria specified for being at least a half-time student, you MEET that criteria.

Complete the tax return showing yourself as a part-time student, but be ready to show your transcripts to prove that fact if asked.
