I live in NJ, but work in NY for a whole year. I am doing my NY state tax refund. Shall I fill IT-203 non-resident forms? I am so confused by IT201, IT150, and IT203 forms, not sure which is the best one.
Thanks.

My husband works in NJ and I work in NYC, we both live in NJ.
If I file married jointly: then on the NJ tax return, husband works in NJ and
Will report his income, I have no NJ income and will not report my
Income? Same way on NY tax return, I work in NY and will report my
Income, husband has no NY income and will not report his income?
Thanks.

Yes, file Form IT-203, which is for part-year residents and non-residents like yourself.

If you need professional help filing your return, email me at [email protected]. I have 15 years experience filing NY and NJ state returns, and am a registered tax preparer with New York state.
