Hi, I'm a US citizen and I married my wife through the Japanese court system in Japan Oct. of 2010. We both never lived together all of 2010 and present. She stopped working in the US since she left in 2007. She's working in Japan and files separate. Do I still need to have her income to file joint for tax?
