My grandfather had nicotine stains halfway up his hand, and his mustache was yellow. In those days it was a badge of manliness, but today it is an embarrassment. Is there a way I can safely remove or lessen these stains? (To all "jokesters": please pass this one up.) Thank you.

How times change! Lemon juice is usually effective.

Thanks DrBill100. I will try it and let you know if it works. I just happen to have a fresh lemon.
How times have changed indeed. My parents, like most people of the post WW2 era, smoked in the car, the bathroom, even in the grocery store! My two siblings smoked as well. After dinner, five people lit up in a small kitchen. It was like burning fall leaves at the table. It was considered normal then. (So were a lot of other things, but that is a story in itself.) Thanks again.
