I split with my ex husband three years ago and moved with my 4 children. My eldest got diabetes at same time but has had modreate learning problems which might be autism. At the time I struggled coping and there was lots of tension and arguments that turned very ugly.I lost control and moved out. My daughter wants nothing to do with me and blames me for everything. How can I make things right?

Keep in touch with your daughter and apologize to her, and mean it. When she's ready to hear your apology, she'll be glad you stuck around and apologized. Acknowledge the hurt you caused her and seek counselling so you're strong and have developed better parenting skills. If she never comes around, and never wants to talk to you ever, that's the breaks for behaviour that's disruptive and hurtful, and that's something you'll need counselling to deal with. It's a tough mistake to learn from, for sure, but definitely something that you can sit with and grow from.
