I moved into a house on 11/01/2010 and the heat stopped working. I am currently on Section 8 and have contacted my worker about my problem. I have also contacted my lanlord in writing about my concerns and she still has not resolved the issue. My worker scheduled an audit inspection on 01/26/2011 and it did not pass. The lanlord showed up and was told by the inspector what needs to be fixed. The lanlord did not want to sign the evaluation and stated that it was a con but she signed it anyway. The inspector will be back out on 01/28/2011 to conclude his findings on whether I need to move out since lanlord does not want to fix the problem. On the way out the door the lanlord wanted me to sign a paper stating that she's letting me out of my lease and I told her no that I couldn't do it. She asked why and I told her that it all boils down to the audit inspection results. She was fuming when she left so I spoke with the inspector again and told him what she was trying to do. The lanlord now states that she will fix the problem but she wants me out of her house anyway. So once I'm out of my lease am I entitled to my security deposit back because I only stayed there for 2 months?
