This is very straightforward, but I believe the "cot^2" bit should be replaced with "cos^2" - in other words the equatioin is this:
(\tan x \ \cos x)^2 = \sec^4 x \cos^2x
Please verify this is what you meant.
To demonstrate this equality, just replace each of the terms with their sine and cosine equivalents, and it falls right out.
