Help... there is no cold water in one of my bathrooms. Works fine in other ones. No cold water from sink. Shower , tub and toilet doesn't refill after flush.. hot water works fine. In the evening it comes on, by morning no cold water.

Could there be a frozen line?

Hi Devious65...

Certainly sounds like a frozen water line.

I'd use a hair dryer and start to warm the cold water pipe(s). Here, open the cold water faucets wide open and then start heating with the dryer. When water thaws you will hear surging/sputtering and then it will free up... as long as the faucets are open, OK?

When you finally get the cold water up and running again, I'd leave the vanity open on the really cold nights and I would leave all the faucets in this bathroom open to a very slight trickle as that should keep the pipes from freezing again.

Later, when you have time you need to find the pipe/area that is causing the issue as most of the times that pipes freeze they also BURST and you don't want any surprises like that so find the issue and fix it, i.e. insulate the space or relocate the pipe if needed.

Questions? Let me know...
