I have 2 thermostats wired to one Frigidaire Furnace.
One night we smelled the burnt odor and the Furnace stopped working.

I find out that the thermostat called for heat but the Blower was humming and not coming on.

So I followed some advices from the internet and change the Capacitor for the Blower.

The furnace worked well for one day until the other thermosatat called for heat, and the blower was stopped working, only humming.

Thank you

Really sounds like its time for a new motor. I know you have already replaced the capacitor, but make sure to replace it again with one that matches the new motor exactly, unless of course the new cap happens to match the new motor. Replacing the cap was decent advice, as it is cheap and easy to do, but the fact that the motor is still malfunctioning tells me that the motor is in need of replacement now. The themostats are doing their job(which is telling the furnace their is a call for heat) so the next step is a new motor. Good luck and please let us know how things work out.

Thank you for the answer.

There only question now is why the blower ran with new capacitor for a day?
Thanks
