As Tickle said, you really should ask this on the "education" forum.
Nevertheless, I can provide a little bit of guidance:
Keep in mind that it's easy to factor the difference of two squares (a^2-b^2=(a+b)(a-b). Now notice that \sin ^2 x and 1 are both perfect squares.
So once you factor the numerator, do you find any factors that cancel in the denominator?
