New Contact Points and Condenser for my Snowblower. Correctly set the points at 0.020" and ignition coil to magnet at 0.0125". Whilst cranking, still no sparks and when I hold the plug by my finger don't feel any electrical current. Spark plug also new. Any idea what's wrong please? Appreciate your assistance and thanks.

Make sure your coil isn't grounded out
If not then coil probably bad

The wire attached to the coil is connected to the body. I assume this is grounded. Did you say that I should not connect this wire out? Thanks

Unhooked that wire then test for spark.
That could be a kill wire that goes to a kill switch of some sort.
Luck.

Thanks DG. You are correct. I have unhooked that wire and there is a sparks. Now I have to reconnect the electric starter to see if the engine will start. It seems to pull and cranks will not be sufficient enough to start the engine and I haven't tried. Thanks anyway
