Included pics of my under sink. Metal tube slips into plastic tube it appears won't slide all the way out to replace. Is there more to this than meets the eye? Is corrosion keeping it from sliding all the way out, don't want to force it. Pipe style had plastic nuts at both ends and pipe seems go to quite aways into plastic receptacle. Thanks!

Chrome trap arm should slide out.

Agree, try pulling while twisting or rotating the trap.

It could have a corroded or bent end. Twist as you pull out. There should be nothing mechanical holding the pipe.
