After I regenerate my water softener, I get orange-brown water through my cold water supplies, my hot water doesn't seem to be effected.
If I don't regenerate the water softener, then the water is normal and clear.
I'm not sure why this is or how to fix it. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I have the same problem. After installing a new Water-Boss Pro Plus 3800 water softner my water is brown after a regeneration. I called Water Boss and they are telling me to add a filter to my water supply to remove tannins. None of my neighbors have this brown water after regeneration problem and they don't have a filters. I am disappointed with the new Water Boss. Anyone know why this is happening?
I called water Boss again after checking with our water department. Found out we don't have Tannins in our water. Now Water Boss is saying"it must be polyphosphates in our water. " The brown water only appears after regeneration. After running 20-30 gallons of water through the softner the water is clear.
Any suggestions?
