Hello I'm 18 and I'm expecting my period this Sunday. The last day of my missed period was December 25 2010. And I'm expected to start on Sunday. I stopped taking my birth control about 2, 2 and a lalf weeks ago. And Sunday I was having light cramping but barely enough to notice. And no bleeding. Then Monday came and the pain got slightly worse and light bleeding now its Tuesday and the cramps are completely gone and the bleeding has been brown clots when I wipe and sometimes red clots.. I'm on a dance team and I need to know if I have to quit due to pregnancy.. please help..

There's no way for us to tell you if you're pregnant.

This could be because you stopped taking your birth control. That can throw your period off.

The only way to know for sure what's going on is to take a pregnancy test. It may be too early to test, but you can definitely try one. Make sure to use first morning urine, it's more accurate. If it's negative than wait another week or 2 and try again, or wait until your next period is due, and if you miss that one too take another test or see your doctor for a blood test.
