When I was 17 I was arrested for shoplifting $20 worth of makeup. I was given a few hours of community service and had to sit through a 3 hour presentation, and I did both. I was never summoned to appear in court. I was arrested in Arizona and now live in Colorado, and am over 18. Will this information show up in an employee background check?

No, yes and maybe.

Where you tried as a adult or as a juv ( which court was it though) I would assume you plead guility to someone, somehow ? To do community service, someone had to sentence you to the time.

If you were arrested and plead guilty

Also if a private research company finds this info, and put it on firle,

That's the thing, I never set foot in a court room, and I never saw a judge. I was arrested, taken to a police station, questioned, then released when my parents came to get me. Then a letter came in the mail about the video and community service.

And I assume I was judged as a minor because the video presentation took place at a center for 'at risk youth', and everyone else serving community service with me was also underage.
