Hi, I'm 19 and I am supposed to be on my period now. When my period started 3 days ago it was only brown discharge and then changed to red. Now its only thick blood and clots which is coming out and it hasn't happened to me before and it barely reaches to the pad. I usually have a normal period, I cannot be pregnant since I haven't had intercourse. I also changed my diet and started exercising everyday for the past month and half.

I'm 19 too, and I had a similar problem when I changed my diet and exercise these past two summers. I left on tour with a drum corps (kind of like a professional marching band) to spin in their color guard, and it required a lot of physical demand with working outside from sun up to sun down every day for a month and a half and a few weekend camps before, literally. The first summer my body acted like it was trying to have a period during one of our weekend camps, but I had a really light flow, kind of like what you're talking about, until I got home. The second month I completely skipped because that was when we worked all the time. This past summer after the weekend camps my period was light and unpredictable because it wasn't having it's normal flow. Yet again, a lot like you have described. Once I got home from being on tour both summers my body went back to normal, like nothing wrong had happened.

I'm no doctor, but I've looked it up before and changes in exercise comes up a lot on why you might be having problems with your period. But, personally, I know from experience. If it's a drastic change like what I've been talking about, then it could most likely be your body adapting to your new lifestyle.

I hope this helped.
