We have had a Moen pullout faucet for about 2.5 years. The first day it was installed, the water tasted so horrible I almost got ill. After about 2 weekes, I called the water company to come and test our water, it tested fine. The water STILL tastes just like a garden hose. If you let it run a few seconds, it goes away. I called Moen right away and was told there was no way for the water to pick u p the taste of the hose since it has a shut off valve to keep water from standing in the hose part. Well, guess what-it happens! We are so discouraged. We had granite installed at the same time so it isn't as simple to replace now. The taste/smell isn't nearly as severe as initially, but bad enough that we son't dare use any water till we've let it run for a while. Does anyone know what's going on? I saw lots of posts about this. Just wanted to let you know we've been sealing with it for this long-it doesn't go away.

I saw all those posts. That's when I realized there must be some sort of problem with a lot of their faucets. Wondering what the outcome has been, what the problem truly is. I've sent an email to Moen.

I have yet to run into any complaints in my own business and we install lots of Moen faucets, but keep me posted on your case, OK?

Thank you.
