I saw a film a few months ago on tcm made during or around the fifties, possibly even early sixties, but I don't remember the title, actress' name or any other details, except the plot...
An actress whose star is rising is being used by everyone around her, producers, agent, even. Her agent, I think, has a wife who is a total drunk mess. She eventually falls in love with another actor who is too good to be true, and very quickly, proves the aforementioned statement. He leaves her in a hotel, somewhere in Arizona. She tries to commit suicide by placing her head in an oven, but keeps getting interrupted.
Pleeeeeeeeease help, this film was epic, and I must see it again.
