Our daughter and son in law live in france. They have bought a UK registered car with our son in law as the registered keeper but at our address in the UK. Any correspondence from the DVLA comes to us, but the car is kept with them at their home in france. Is this legal? I have suggested that they change the address on the registration document to their french address - would the DVLA allow this?

The registered keeper and the actual owner CAN be completely different people, so this is totally legal.
