I did not do my assignment and I want to ask him to give me another opportunity because the deadline expired

My first suggestion would be to learn how to write a grammatically correct sentence. Then I would learn how to write an "apologize letter to a professor."

May I ask why you didn't do the assignment? (It will help me know how to phrase an apology letter.)

Since the deadline has passed, would he even consider giving you another chance? You've got two problems here, you know: 1) you didn't do the assignment, and 2) the deadline has passed.

And I would go see them in person, all professors normally have office hours,

Don't even think about it - unless you have the completed assignment in hand, whether he accepts or not.
If you 'apologized' to me and still hadn't done the work, I'd flunk you, or at least refuse to listen past the answer yes or no.
