I have a myers crock in my basement. Its only use the last 15 years was for AC on my furnace. I just finished the basement bathroom and plan on using it soon. What is going to be the best way to seal the lid on the base. I have the rubber graumets for the pump wires and both pipes but feel all areas will need a good additional seal for odor prevention.

Hi Medina...
You could purchase an ejector pit seal strip from a local plumbing supply store or even better, purchase some 1/2" foam weather stripping with one sided tape from a local hardware store.
Place the seal strip or the weather stripping in place by removing the one sided tape being sure to overlap the ends by an inch or so at the ends and then install the lid securly.
Install the rubber grommets around the cord and pipes and then to really make this all odor-free I'd use some permanently flexible silicone caulking around the lid, the bolts and the rubber grommets at the wires/pipes. Let all dry and you should have a gas-tight installation. ;)
Questions? Let me know...
