My two rheem split sytems are side by side outdoors. The 1.5 ton unit for my upstairs area seems to work OK, but the freon lines never get close to hot at the compressor or in the attic at the air handler. The other unit is 2.5 tons for the other two floors of my house. The suction line for this unit gets very hot to the touch. Both systems appear to be working normally and are doing OK with this cold snap. Aux heat comes on both units about the same amount. Is it possible for the smaller unit to be working normally with` lukewarm lines? Seems like something has to be wrong, yet tech checked it last weekand found it to be OK for charge and pressure.
