I have a crown on my last bottom molar which also had a root canal drilled through it after I unfortunately already had the crown placed in. Two years after this I noticed a slight crack in the crown nearest the edge of the tooth next to it. My floss would always stick and break in this area. I called the dentist but am not able to get in until a week later due to work scheduling. The small piece that was cracked has now given way during eating and am wondering now if this can be repaired or am I going to have to shell out for a new crown? Do crowns have warranty? Its only been two years since I had it. The reason for needing it was due to an invisible miro-crack in the tooth. After the crown was put in I got an abcess and that's the reason for the root canal. I currently am feeling no pain or discomfort other than my tongue keeps poking around the area that's now missing.

Some dentists do offer warranties. In the area I work, most dentists offer a 5 year warranty. You will have to discuss this with your dentist.
