We have an 1/2 horse power water pump that seems to be kicking on every hour and runs for 20 - 30 seconds. We have installed a new foot valve and injector in the well and the pump was fine UNITIL 2 days later our washing machine acted up. In a panic I shut off the water pump and all the valves for the water. When I turned it back on later in the day, the pressure on the pump went from 37 to 20 and now the pump keeps kicking on every hour. Any ideas? Thank you

Well something's losing pressure and unless you've developed a leak In the suction line I would suspect the foot valve. Why not simply install a check valve near the pump and seem if that doesn't fix the problem. Good luck, Tom
