I live in PA and I have a year to year lease with my landlord. After my year is up I can change my lease to month to month or continue with another year. Well I moved in this apartment in April 2010 and my lease is not up till April 2011. Can he increase my rent before the lease is up in April and if so he has to give me a written copy within how many days?

A lease is a two way contract that protects you and it protects your LL. Terms can not be arbitrarily changed mid-lease unless both parties agree to the changes and sign off on them. If you do not agree to this change he can not raise your rent until April 2011.
