My brother's Public Defenders are trying to make him accept a plea for Sexual assault on a minor (11 yr old girl) when we have medical evidence supporting that he was unable since he had broken his back only a few days before and could barely walk, and there were 4 adults in the house the day it was supposed to have happened. They are saying "This is a freight train coming down the Track and we don't know how to stop it"! They have refused our expert to help on the case (25 yrs of exp) and we want a new public defender. Are we able to do that?

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.
Yes you can request a new public defender. But since this is a very serious charge, maybe you should hire an attorney.

First your public defender can not "MAKE" you accept any charge, you merely say NO, and that you will be going to trial.
You also tell them what experts you wish to use.
If the PD does not wish to defend you your way, then you request a new one be appointed.

Yes, and no. You can fire your lawyer, but you won't get a new public defender... That's because you're firing the public defenders OFFICE. No problem. You WILL get another lawyer.. He just won't be a public defender. Fire your present lawyer in writing citing the reasons you mentioned in your post. Send your letter certified, return receipt requested, and send a copy to the judge and the prosecutor. Send a second certified letter to the judge requesting another attorney..
Actually, your brother has to do all this. You can't.
