No power to an outlet. Replace outlet with leads coming off and still no power to the one outlet. Wondering if its in the wire between the two outlets. All are on the same circuit.

Turn off circuit breaker to outlet.
Disconnect wire from outlet that is working that u think goes to outlet not working. Tie these wires together.
At outlet not working, remove wires from outlet and check with Ohm meter. If meter goes to zero, wire is good.
If meter does not go to zero, it could be 2 things.
1. Wire has got a break in it .
2. Is not the wire from good outlet.
If reading is not good, separate wires at good outlet. Attach a wire to the black wire and check with Ohm meter at bad outlet.
Do this with white wire also.
If no reading on either test, then the cable probably does not go from good outlet to bad outlet.
Let us know the outcome. We will go from there.
Good luck

Start at the last outlet that is working prior to this one. Test for 120 vac coming off this oreceptacle going down the line. Check at the other end of the line by your bad receptacle, is there power reaching this end? Only test between the black and the white wires, do not use the ground or the box.
