Ok, so I have this semi-enclosed porch/breezeway, about 12-ft by 5-ft , that the cement floor gets extremely damp(wet) whenever it rains or the humidity level gets to about 500 percent(feels like it sometimes), which is common here in the deep south.
It's actually part of the house, it's covered by the roof, and the only opening is the entrance/exit, which is about 4-ft(w) by 6-ft(h).
It would seem that, maybe, the person that built it did not put plastic down before the cement was poured, allowing condensation to form, in a heavy way.
Is there anything to "seal" something like this?
I've always kept outdoor, deck-style rugs/mats on it due to this, but just wondering if anyone knew of a fix for this situation.
