Im a 22 year old mother of one and I am suffering with headaches. Since lights and noise don't really affect my headache pain and that my pain in constant rather than on and off the doctors are stumped and my quality of life becomes poorer and poorer. Everymorning I wake up feeling fine I always wake up pretty early on my own am up for an hour or so then boom a horrible pain overwhelmes both sides of my temples radiating back toward my crown. I sometimes get dizzy and nauseous but not always. The pain however is ALWAYS a 10. And I've had a c-section (so I know pain). My neck also has some pressure and tightness I feel myself massaging behind my jaws. I've tried numerous meds from relpax imetrx arudis cambi elevil fournel with codiene vicodin otc meds and currently sumavel dose pro. It kind of help take the edge off but I can't survive this much longer my daughters life will suffer as well. I'm a very angry person lashing out on my family because I'm CONSUMED with pain. My nureo doesn't know what to do he sent me to the urgent care center TODAY for a shot of toradol and zolfram... iand recommends I take topamax... (AGAIN)... I don't think it will help. IM IN HORRIBLE AGONY EVERYDAY AND IM ONLY 22 PLEASE HELP. I had an mri and ct normal... what now?

Ok, you answered my question about having an MRI and CT done. I'm assuming that they did blood work on you as well?

It's really hard to tell what it is and the fact that we can't diagnose here on this site. Have you had a second opinion? Or even a third? Does anybody else in your family suffer from the same kinds of headaches?

It's always good to get a second opinion from a specialist. Considering that you have had a series of tests done to rule out certain medical problems could mean that these are just terrible migraines, like your Grandmother.

Again, I would have another opinion done.

Wow, I know exactly how you feel except I'm 15 and I have been on so many meds that I can't count. I have had a mri(normal), ct(normal), blood work(normal). I have gone to physical therapy and they can't do anything. But my head aches are a little different because my eyes completely black out to the point that I can't see then they fade back to normal, and yes I have had my eyes checked. I have had head aches ever since I can remember. I get extremely dizzy all the time and I space out a lot. I'm not sure how this has helped you but it helps me knowing I'm not the only one with horrible head aches like mine.
