I am putting two pieces of stainless steel piping together and have had nothing but leaks- I have tried pipe thread sealer and teflon tape together and separately but still have a big leak problem. Can anyone offer an explanation?

Hey JohnPaul.
Sure would help if we knew what you're using to connect the two. Is it a threaded coupling? A compression fitting? Dresser coupling? What? Let me know, Tom

Thanks for being so quick Tom. The connection is Female thread to Male thread and they don't like each other at all. It is not just the threads either because I six connections and they all leak. Is there some kind of trick I don't know of?
Male to female threads both are stainless steel and not compression.

These couplings are stainless steel and not galvanized are they. Coulkd be the female threads be deeper then the male ones?> How many turns of Teflon Tape are you using? How much pressure do these pipes carry? Back, To you, Tom
