He's the first guy I've ever been able to be myself around, and I love him with all my heart, but I want to be able to provide for myself and a family, and I won't be making that much money from my career. I'm trying to get my teaching license, and I was wondering if marrying a man who has a felony charge from back when he was 18 for possession of marijuana would completely ruin my life, to put it bluntly. Will he be able to get a job? Will he be able to support me and a family? What do you think? I need some advice.

Thanks so much...

Yes, it will be hard for him to get a job more than many others without it. And he had to have a lot of pot for it to be a felony, did he have it to sell, just a bag of pot would not be a felony

Yes, they charged him for intent to distribute. But he doesn't do drugs anymore, it was a long time ago. He was young, and stupid.

You can best answer your question by seeing how he has rebounded from his youthful mistakes, and what he is doing now. Don't marry him until you are sure he can get beyond his past, and do for himself. If it was that long ago, what is he doing NOW??

If he can't do for himself now, I doubt he can do for you, or a family. Love is nice, but it don't pay the rent or fill a hungry belly, does it?
