Installing bath in a new garage that will take approx a 60' run to existing 4" sewer line.

To get my slab height I need to know the proper (or to code) slope needed for a 4" pipe.

Example : 1/4" on 4'

Thanks

Hi Dannac...

Proper slope by code is 1/8" pitch per foot of slope. Code would also allow 1/4" per foot, but all that is required is 1/8" per foot.

Cleanouts belong at every change of direction and evey 50' otherwise.

In my area, ( SPC code) we slope drainage pipes under 3"m at 1/4" inch to the foot.
Three inches and over get 1/8th" to the foot.
You would have 7 1/2" of fall on a 60 foot run. Good luck, Tom
