I am feeding her baby food, putting fluids in her by the vet, If I give her water through a synge - she will drink it, but not out of the bowl. How can I get her to drink? She just stopped getting anit bot'cs for her teeth.

Did she have an operation or a really bad tooth infection? What were the reasons for her to be on anti biotics and to have fluids administered by the vet? Have you told the vet that you are concerned about her fluid intake?

If she is getting IV fluids, she is more than likely getting enough fluids into her, she will also get fluids from the baby food as well. Are you feeding her the jar food or baby cereal?

Some dogs like to lick ice cubes, and you could always add low sodium or home made chicken stock into the ice cubes. Will she eat wet dog food? That is another way to get a little more fluid into her.

She had gotten sick. The vet thought it was bacteria from her teeth getting to her stomach. Because of her age-I can not get her teeth cleaned. So the vet put her on two types of antiboc's. She is eating stage 1 baby food from the jar. I want her to drink out of the bowl and stop the fluid injection.

When she is feeling better she will drink again on her own. It will take time for her to get back to normal. Your vet will know when it is safe to take her off the IV's.
