So I've known this guy for 5 months now, and I've had feelings I've never had for anyone else before. Like, the minute he walks past me I get goose bumps, I'm constantly smiling and I feel content just being in the same room with him. I feel accepted and nervous all at once, and this is something huge for me because of my intimacy issues. I enjoy everything about him, and he's an honest gentleman, something I've never found in any guy before.
Now, recently (couple weeks ago) he's started acting a lot closer to me. I'm not sure if it is flirting or not, but he'll make it a point to touch me randomly (like poke my sides, touch my arm when he leaning over to grab something, and pushing my face lightly as a joke). And just tonight he actually stole my phone and shoved it down his shirt/pants immaturely to get me to try and steal it back. And when we were sitting he sat facing me, sending me a lot of looks throughout the night. I'm not sure how he feels about me, but I want to know.
I mean, even if nothing comes between us because of the people involved, I'd like to know if I'm just reading too much into things and trying to see what I want, or if maybe he actually thinks I'm a little worth-while to him.

This phrase says things about you. It says that you have low self esteem, and if you want this guy or any guy to look at you in a romantic setting you are going to have to higher it.

I am afraid that the only real way to know how he is feeling is to go up to him and ask him, there will no harm done, he will either say no, in which you will just walk away UNAFFECTED and move on with your life, or he will say yes, which will open up a whole new set of possibilities for the both of you. You have nothing to lose and something to gain... take a chance! I hope you find what you are looking for :).

I would go with the subtle move. No need to ask him directly or to confess your feelings just yet. Going out one-on-one wouldn't hurt so that you can see how things play out when you're alone with each other.

It's the 21st century, so there's no reason why you can't take the initiative and ask him on a date.

If he feels comfortable enough to touch your face or your sides, he obviously enjoys your company, and sitting facing you is a good sign too. Also, if your sitting across from him, or diagonal from him, and he crosses his legs, pointing toward you, he is thinking about you. If he slouches and angles his shoulders toward you, he is most likely a romantic guy, and if he sits stright, and points his pelvis toward you he definitely likes you. And if he changes his posture when you enter a room he's in, that's good as well. I say go for it, what ever "it" is. And most guys will start to act abit more free when they trust someone enough (the stealing your phone thing) so I definitely think he has feelings for you.
