I really don't remember much about the movie.

The main character was a little girl and it was set in the future. Might have been on another planet. There were aliens that all the adults hated/feared.

But the little girl got to know them and befriended them. She even managed to communicate with them.

I remember one scene, (if I'm not mixing movies) where she walked out onto a field of tentacles as they supported her.

Eventually she united the aliens with the rest of her people and proved they weren't dangerous at all.

Not aliens.They were giant insects
