A very close friend of mine received a ticket for DUI. The state trooper wrote on the ticket that the date was 10/30 instead of 9/30. There has been no further contact as far as court dates. Nothing mailed whatsoever. She's checked the court dates etc and called numerous people trying to figure out when she is due there for these pending charges. I realize that cops are human and make mistakes, but she can't get much out of them besides they have nothing on her when she was in fact pulled over. She did refuse the breathalyzer also. I'm just looking for further guidance to help her in this situation. She realizes what she's done is wrong, and was processed for it.

Hello p:

Every single ticket I ever got said right on the ticket WHEN and WHERE I was supposed to go. It did NOT leave it to me to guess.

If they used the normal uniform citation ( ticket) they say specificly on them when the first court date is. On DUI this is often changed.

Next of course how long has it been, *** oh yes the wrong date will almost never void a ticket, minor date or number issues, Also on a DUI they can also merely drop that ticket and re issue a new one ( re charge you) if they wanted.

But it will take about 2 weeks from the time the officer writes the ticket for it to be in the courts system
