I got my period about 6 months ago, and I've had it regularly, but in between early Sept. And now, (mid November) I haven't had it at all, why? And I'm very young so I'm a virgin.. obviously.

I see from an answer that you wrote to an old post on this subject that you got your answer from your MD mother.

The menstrual cycle depends on a fairly involved bunch of hormonal events between the ovaries and the brain, so there are bound to be variations for many women. Stress and extreme exercise can make them stop too, even after you are older. I suspect that is nature's way of giving us a break at times.

I have to add that when you're young, first starting to menstruate, your period can be completely out of whack, skipping months, or 2 periods in a month, anything goes.

It can take years before your body regulates itself, and for some women it never does.

If you're a virgin than I wouldn't be too concerned about this, but if you are than a trip to your doctor should set your mind at ease. :)
