I have a comfortmaker gas forced air furnace that has me scratchin a bald spot in my head. When the t'stat calls for heat, the inducer fan turns on, I hear a click in the valve, but then nothing happens. Normally the pilot sparks on & immediately the burners fire up. It might be just coincidence, but sometimes when I jiggle a blue & yellow wire on the ignition module, the pilot will spark and the burners will fire up. Just last night, I cleaned the flame sensor with steel wool and it worked all night(cycled on & off as usual), until this am when we had to get up in the cold. The inducer fan was running again, but no flame. Jiggled those wires again and voilą. Furnace fires up. Any ideas here? Please help. It appears to be something minor that I don't want to pay a $100 to $150 bucks to a technician to point it out. Thanks in advance.
